We kindly request that you do not book appointments if you are knowingly unwell. Also please do not to come in if you have a cold, flu or covid. Even just the sniffles. Your piercing can become infected if you are unwell, also if we become too unwell, we may need to close the studio & reschedule your appointment.

We will continue a 6 customer max limit (inside the studio) for the foreseeable future. With this in mind, please dress appropriately for wet or cold weather in case we are at capacity, should you wish to wait outside until we have finished dealing with our current customer.

APPOINTMENT ETIQUETTE

Due to a spell of late arrivals we would like to emphasise the importance of being on time for your appointment.
Please consider that if you are late & we are fully booked then we will not be able to honour your appointment & you will lose your booking fee.


If you wish to rebook you will need to pay a new £20.00 booking fee. I hope you can understand that we are a small independent business, we value everyone that walks across our threshold so we ask that you treat us with the same consideration & respect as you would like to be treated yourself. :)


CONSIDERATION

Please arrive 5/10 minutes early for your appointment to ensure you are on time.

We allow 15/20 minutes for one piercing appointment.  More time will need to be factored in for extra piercings or jewellery fittings so please let us know when we are taking your booking to ensure we have enough time to fit these little extras in.

Please bear in mind, if you arrive late, after the start of your booked slot, we may not even be able to fit you in on the same day, if we are fully booked, which will result in you losing your booking fee.

We will do our best to fit you back in IF we do have time on the day. Please consider that we are a small family business & will have likely turned another client away for the time you  have booked your appointment for.

We do get extremely busy in the studio & we do our absolute best to run things on time.

CHILDREN in the studio

Parents. . . For insurance purposes, children are not to be left unattended & staff are unable to be responsible for your child whilst you are having your new body piercing or jewellery changed. They cannot wait in the piercing room whilst you have the procedure done for obvious reasons. If you need to bring your children to the studio then please make sure you have someone with you who is able to look after them.

PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING

It's generally good to wait a good 6 months after childbirth or until after you have finished breastfeeding. This is to let your body heal & get back to normal after the stress it's been put under.

Your body is working hard to recover post-pregnancy & birth. Producing milk is a large undertaking for the body.

Your body is still doing a lot of work after your baby is born so we don’t advise adding the extra task of healing a new piercing because it may not heal well & could possibly lead to an infection.

This is standard practice with most reputable piercers & tattooists.

BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT

We would just like to clarify the following booking procedure:-

Please do not book an appointment if you or the person you are booking for is feeling unsure or not serious about having the piercing because the booking fee is TOTALLY NON REFUNDABLE.

Once you have booked you are agreeing to have the procedure.

One booking fee is paid for each piercing & is not transferable if you change your mind after you have paid.
For example - If you have paid for two piercings & decide to only have one then you will lose the booking fee for the second piercing. We allow extra time for multiple piercings & if you change your mind at the last minute we would not be able to fill that space with another client. Being a small family business this has an impact on us so we need to know you are serious & committed to your appointment before you book in.


WHO CANNOT BE PIERCED 

WE WILL NOT PIERCE PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING WOMEN.

WE WILL NOT PIERCE ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 10.

WE WILL NOT PIERCE ANYONE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS OR ALCOHOL.

WE WILL NOT PIERCE ANYONE WHO IS RUDE OR INCONSIDERATE TOWARDS STAFF OR OTHER CUSTOMERS.

DO NOT BOOK IF ANY OF THE ABOVE APPLY TO YOU
AS YOU WILL LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT.

BOOKING FEES

If you would like to book an appointment then we require a £20.00 non refundable booking fee per piercing/person. This is to ensure that you are serious about having your piercing & to protect us against no shows. Being self employed this has a huge impact on our business.

You must be 16 years old minimum to book your own appointment, if under 16, then parents are required to arrange the booking. Under 16 year olds require their own parents to be present to sign consent form.
16 -18 year olds MUST bring PHOTO ID (proof of age) if attending an appointment without parents. If no photo ID, parent must also attend the appointment.

When you arrive for your appointment, the booking fee will be deducted from the price of the piercing (please bear in mind that if you do not show up, you will lose this). We can take this over the phone by credit or debit card not via email, bank transfer, paypal or google pay (though you can use google pay to buy things in the studio).

With group bookings of 3 people or more, we will require a higher booking fee per person. This will be determined at the time of the booking depending on the number in the group & how many piercings required. Please note, with group bookings the booking fee will be higher because we need to allocate more time for larger groups. Booking fees are not refundable & non transferable to other clients if anyone changes their mind & decides not to turn up.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO RETAIN DEPOSITS IF AN APPOINTMENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED BY US DUE TO INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR, LANGUAGE OR ATTITUDE FROM A CLIENT. 

BOOKED APPOINTMENTS IN JULY & AUGUST
To rearrange appointments during these months we require 2 days (48 hours) notice. Any less than this will result in losing your booking fee and a new fee will be required if you wish to rebook.
This is peak season for us & it's tricky to make appointment changes at short notice.

BOOKED APPOINTMENTS IN DECEMBER & JANUARY
Cancelling appointments which fall in this period will result in losing your booking fee and a new fee will be required if you wish to rebook. I hope you can understand we need to protect ourselves against loss of revenue during this season.

HOW TO BOOK

The best way to book is to either walk in to the studio in person or to email us with your enquiry, including your your phone number, then I will call you (as soon as I am able) to get the appointment booked in & pay the booking fee over the phone, or, if you prefer to call us, the studio number is 01823 289 055.

We don’t operate an online booking system, we are old school in here.. A simple phone call & paper diary is our preferred method !

Please don’t leave a voicemail because our answer machine is not clear & easy to listen to, the quality is bad & often we cannot hear your phone number, especially when it is said very quickly. Also we do not always receive a voicemail but we are unable to turn that function off on our phone.

Only two of us work in the studio so on a busy day we might not be able to answer the phone, check emails or voicemails & call you back until after 3pm when the studio is closed.

We will always do our best to contact you on the same day but if we are inundated with email enquiries etc then this is not always possible. We cannot answer any phone calls or reply to any emails when we are closed on Sundays, Mondays or Tuesdays.

Studio hours are 10am - 3pm Wednesday - Saturday. We book appointments from 10.30am onwards up till the latest slot which is 3pm.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU NEED TO RESCHEDULE

If you are unwell OR you need to reschedule your appointment then we require 24 hours notice to ensure you do not lose your booking fee. (In July & August we require 2 days notice as it is peak season).
We will honour this ONCE ONLY.
You will have 2 months to reschedule your appointment. If you have not rebooked by this time the appointment will be considered cancelled by yourself & the booking fee you paid will be lost. Any future bookings will require a new £20.00 booking fee.
If you need to reschedule your appointment for a second time due to illness & with less than 24 hours notice then any further changes/cancellations regarding your appointment will result in losing the booking fee. Any future bookings you wish to make will require a new £20.00 booking fee.

***IF YOU ARE UNWELL ON THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT***

Please call the studio or contact us via email if you are unwell on the actual day of your appointment & we will talk about your options. Please do not come in. It’s not advisable to have a new piercing because if you are unwell, your immune system is low & you are open to infection.

Please note.

If you are travelling to come and see us (without pre-booking), please try calling or email us before setting off, just in case we cannot accommodate you or we are closed for any unforeseen reason. If we do not get back to you we are either extremely busy or closed.

We offer walk-ins for piercings on a First Come First Served basis, this is IF we have availability on the day. They are based purely on luck or whether someone has just not shown up for a booked appointment. Walk-ins are not guaranteed . . .

If you would like a guaranteed appointment then booking is essential, especially if you are travelling here from a distance or specifically for a piercing.
